Her hull is built entirely of epoxy resins and E-glass/Kevlar laminates, then vacuum bagged and post thermal cured. Main structural bulkheads are also composite. Light but incredibly strong, she has a very low center of gravity and high limit of positive stability.

Her patented keel system allows her to be converted from deep draft to shoal draft or back in a matter of hours..

A world capable passage maker, the 54 makes an ideal "family" yacht.
She can be built with the owner's cabin forward with a large centerline berth and private head with stall shower. Aft can be two more double cabins with a second head convenient to the cockpit.

She is spacious with good light and ventilation and has an excellent working galley. Interior carpentry is executed in the owner's choice of both woods and joinery style and finished to the legendary standard of all Alden Yachts.

Her large, deep cockpit can comfortably accommodate up to eight people and moving about on deck is safe and secure with wide side decks and ample handholds.
