Alden Yachts Wins Steve Collins Award for Best Display at Newport International Boat Show Date: Oct 25, 2002 Alden Yachts was selected for the Steve Collins Award and "All Around Winner" for Best Display at the 2002 Newport International Boat Show. Presenting the award was Nancy Piffard, show director."We liked the overall display decorated in rich color tones with a clean and spacious exhibit. Every aspect of their exhibit exuded quality". For their selection as overall winner, Alden Yachts was awarded $1,000.00 towards next year's display and a framed print depicting "The Great Yachts" donated by Edson International and Lewmar Corporation on behalf of the Steve Collins Award for excellence in projecting company image. Two Alden Yachts were on display at the show --"Avocet", Alden Yachts' new 54' Epoxy Composite Sloop, and "Rumrunner", Alden Yachts' 46' Hardtop Express.
